Antique London MUFF PISTOL ~ .45 Caliber Cap & Ball ~ C. Crestman?

We are offering for a sale an antique MUFF PISTOL chambered in .45 caliber. This example is in need of repair but remains very good otherwise. The pistol is marked “London” and what looks to be “C. Crestman” for the maker (However I can not make the makers name out for sure). Barrel has three proof marks on the underside of the barrel. 2” smooth bore barrel is good with light oxidation wear. Nice and decorative engraving. The percussion nipple is good. The hammer has been damaged and will need work. The folding trigger is very good; It folds out when the hammer is cocked. The wooden grip is quite nice with wonderful checkering. The sterling silver escutcheon is unmolested; Sterling silver grip cap.
