Antique, Circa 1860 Pin Fire Alarm Gun

This is a rare alarm, or trap gun, also called garden cannon. Circa 1860. It fired pin primer 12 ga shells. It is made of cast iron, weighs nearly 2 lbs. It is 7.75 inches long. Bore is .726" Only marking is "DEPOSE" at end or trail. I assume it is French made. Device is functional, not broken. These were typically connected to a trip wire connected to a door or window and fired a 12 gauge blank to scare off the intruder. Sale includes 3 empty, pin fire shells.
