Essentially, American Tactical Imports has taken IMI Galil parts kits and manufactured their owned CNC steel receivers to mate to these parts kits, making bona fide Galils for the US market using their receiver and other parts to make the guns US 922R compliant. The Galil design takes the best features of the AK-47 and adds the upgrades required by the Israeli Military. The 5.56X45 Galil was designed after the venerable AK-47, as a tougher and more accurate rife for desert operations. Working with the Israeli Military, American Tactical was able to de-mil former Israeli Military issued Galil rifles and import their parts to the USA. Using solid 4140 CDA Steel, American Tactical’s machining division is milling all new US receivers and performing all finishing and finally assembly at our SC production facility. Featuring new manufactured US made barrels, and the always reliable TAPCO Galil magazine, these US assembled guns meet all legal requirements right out of the box. Features include polymer handguard and original side folding stock, these rifles will only be available while supplies last! The Galil series of weapons is in use with military and police forces in over 25 countries & enjoyed by recreational shooters. There were three base Military models the Galil ARM, Galil AR & Galil SAR. The Micro Galil or MAR rifle was introduced in 1995 and primarily used by Israeli special forces.
