AK 47 Norinko 7.62 x 39 Type 56 S

I have a virtually new Norinco 7.62 in box with cleaning kit, bayonet, shoulder strap, 3 30 rounds mags 2 are ribbed and one smooth. I bought this as an investment in the early 90's (1991/2) as a Pre-Ban rifle. I have put about 100 rounds through this rifle to sight it in at 100 yards and after that it was stored in a Bianchi corrosion proof bag for the entire time I have had it. What follows is a brief description of the Chinese Vs Russian AK's: Differences from and similarities of the Chinese made type 56 AK to the Russian AK-47 and AKM. * The Type 56 has The RPK 1.5mm stamped receiver (minus the reinforced trunnion of the RPK) versus the 1mm stamping of the AKM. * The barrel on the Type 56 is similar to the AK-47 and heavier than that of the AKM. * The front sights are fully enclosed compared to the AKM and AK-47 which are partially opened. * Has the double hook disconnector of the AK-47 unlike the single hook disconnector of the AKM. * Has a smooth dust cover like the AK-47; unlike the ribbed dust cover of the AKM. This one has the detachable knife bayonet of the AK-47 and AKM which I have included and is a substantial knife by itself. * Like the AK-47, the sights will adjust to 800 metres, where the AKM's will adjust to 1000 metres. * The wood furniture on the Type 56 tends to not be made from laminate wood like the Russian Kalashnikovs. * The gas relief ports are located on the gas tube like the AK-47, unlike the AKM which has the gas relief ports located forward to the gas block. * The stamped Type 56 has a press and pinned barrel like the AKM, opposed to the AK-47 which has a barrel threaded into the receiver. Type 56 S stands for semiauto first manufactured in about 1990 or 1991 also can mean sporter. Like all of the guns I am selling I will do a deal I am not looking for this to be a new business I am looking to reduce my collection and I will sell it for a better deal than anything else you see pretty much guaranteed.
