A.J. AUBREY SXS 12 GAUGE

A.J. Aubrey side by side Field Grade 12 gauge, 30" Full & Full - double triggers, extractors - SN33XXX (approx. 1909)- Perfect bright bores and mechanics, tight lock-up with no play - all matching numbers. Barrels retain 95% ++ original blue - no dings, rust, or pits. Frame retains 90% case color on sides and top and about 50% on the bottom. Trigger guard about 90% blue. Wood is sound with no cracks, splits, gouges, etc. but a noticeable scratch on the left side and some other minor surface marks from normal handling - 92%-95% finish remaind - checkering is sharp and undamaged - buttplate is crisp. The Aubrey was produced by the Meriden Fire Arms Co. for Sears, Roebuck from about 1905 to 1915 and was considered a low-end double. They seem to be fairly scarce, especially in excellent, unaltered condition. This one has seen very little use and has lots of original finish and color - a very sharp sample of an early American double gun and a nice collectible! Additional pictures available. FFL or C&R
