1917 Winchester '94 .30-30 Saddle-Ring Carbine

Winchester '94 Saddle Ring carbine in .30 WCF made in 1917, serial # 8092xx. This gun has seen a lot of use and is still a solid gun in every way. No cracks in stocks, no bluing left either. No, it doesn't "sparkle" and you wouldn't call it "pretty". John Wayne would call it an HONEST trail gun and it would look great in one of his movies. It's "wearing its history" and I call that a thing of beauty. Works just fine too. It's like a HAT. Why would anyone want a new one? You'd just have all the trouble of breaking it in. Nice bright shiny bore. Works just fine too. Much better than later Winchesters. This one I would bet my life on! I wonder where it's been and what adventures it has had? The SADDLE RING is gone and the mount has been replaced long ago. It wouldn't be hard to get a replacement and age it. The steel butt plate does have some pitting and, no, I wouldn't want to see anyone try to "pretty it up". If you want a new-looking gun, buy a NEW gun.
