An old sporter with a very modern look. Stock design very reminiscent of those currently found on the rifles of Steyr. Sporterized to enhance handling & shootability, by an individual who cared about attention to detail. Mfr'd by Loewe, Berlin - pre 1898. Caliber 7.65x53 Argentine. Barrel shortened to 23 inches - nice compromise in length without sacrificing ballistics. Overall length 42 1/2 in. Dual-crown ( or stepped-crown ) on muzzle. Fine Marbles' sights : front bead on checked non-glare ramp, adjustable semi-buckhorn rear. Solid walnut stock with some figure. Generous semi-target pistol grip - extremely comfortable design. Whiteline ( Pachmayr ? )rubber recoil pad. 1 1/2 in. sling no-rattle sling swivels. Matching numbers. Please email with any questions.
