The Winchester Super X Rifle (SXR) is a gas-operated autoloading hunting rifle built around a rigid alloy receiver and detachable box magazine. The design uses a multi-lug rotating bolt and a hammer-forged barrel to deliver bolt-action level accuracy with reduced felt recoil. The SXR magnum configurations (including .300 Winchester Magnum) ship with a 24in barrel, a three-round detachable magazine and a cross-bolt safety.
