The Springfield Armory Hellion is a compact bullpup semi-automatic 5.56 rifle built around a 16in CMV Melonite® barrel with a 1:7 twist and a two-position, short-stroke piston operating system. The design is compatible with AR-pattern magazines and AR-pattern pistol grips and includes a proprietary Melonite® bolt carrier group.
