The M&P45 Shield is a compact, striker-fired .45 Auto pistol built on a slim polymer frame with an Armornite® finished stainless steel slide. It ships with tritium night sights front and rear and a 3.3 in (8.4 cm) stainless steel barrel.
Designed for everyday carry, the Shield is extremely thin and lightweight (20.5 oz / 581.2 g unloaded) and includes three magazines (two extended for a full grip). The pistol features M&P take-down and sear deactivation systems for disassembly without pulling the trigger and an 18° grip angle for a natural point of aim.
