The Remington 1911 R1 (R1S stainless variant) is a full-size, single-action 1911-style semi-automatic pistol finished in stainless steel. It ships with checkered walnut grip panels, a match-grade stainless barrel and dovetailed three-dot front and rear sights. Factory features include a manual thumb safety, an original-style grip safety and an internal Series 80-style firing-pin safety. The standard .45 ACP Government-size R1S has a 5.00 in barrel, a 7+1 capacity and a traditional, flat mainspring housing.
