The rifle features a 24 in free-floating barrel, a spiral-fluted bolt with checkered bolt handle, Mossberg's LBA (Lightning Bolt Action) user-adjustable trigger, and receiver-mounted Weaver-style scope bases. It is fed from a lightweight flush box magazine with a five-round capacity.
