The Beretta APX A1 Full Size is a striker-fired, polymer-frame service pistol built around a serialized stainless-steel chassis. It features an optic-capable steel slide, interchangeable low-profile steel sights (dovetailed front blade and dovetailed notched rear), and an accessory rail under the frame for lights or lasers.
Chambered in 9x19 mm with a 4.25 in (108 mm) barrel, the Full Size model ships with a 17-round magazine and has an unloaded weight of approximately 820 g (28.9 oz). The construction includes a fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame, steel slide with paint finish and a blued steel barrel.
