Each SAIGA AK47 .223 Remington is custom modified, “one-at-a-time”, by skilled American craftsmen into a precision tactical rifle that is extremely accurate. First, we relocate the trigger guard next to the magazine latch and install a customized USA mfg. G2 trigger group for a crisp 3.5# trigger pull. We remove the front sight and thread the muzzle with mil-spec 14:1 left hand metric threads, then reinstall the front sight. The threaded muzzle allows you to use any mil-spec AK47 muzzle break or flash hider! We include a heavy duty spike tactical entry muzzle break with multiple steel tips capable of penetrating sheet-rock, wood doors, and glass. This is a real muzzle break featuring side slots and top ported holes that reduce muzzle climb and felt recoil. We use premium GUN-KOTE™ firearms metal coating & finish; this $200 thermal cured mil-spec finish sets our custom SAIGA-XTR AK47 apart from the very beginning. Premium GUN-KOTE™ is far superior to parkerized, blued, or air dry “paint finishes” in both durability and performance. It was first specified by the U.S. Military for use on SOCOM Special Sniper Weapons (SPR’s) in 2003. GUN-KOTE™ satin matte black finish helps protect metal parts from rust, corrosion, and will not break down, peel or dissolve. In fact, once applied and thermal-cured, the only way to completely remove it is through abrasive blasting. GUN-KOTE™ is resistant to all known gun solvents, oils, and thinners. GUN-KOTE™ is a highly specialized, hard, coating that meets ALL MILITARY SPECIFICATIONS for protective metal coatings. GUN-KOTE™ is formulated to provide excellent impact resistance, lubricity (meets military dry firing specs), heat dissipation, chemical resistance, corrosion protection, and durability. It is specially formulated for salt corrosion resistance and meets the US Military requirements for "Resistant to Chemicals". The aluminum butt-stock adapter and stock tube are lightweight and strong. The stock adapter and stock tube are made from lightweight, strong aluminum. The M4 style buttstock is adjustable into six positions, and retracts flush with the back of the receiver. When collapsed, the buttstock extends just 7 inches! The tactical quad-rail system is made from lightweight aluminum, has four mil-spec picatinny rails, and comes with black rubber protective rail guards.
