The barrel marking is an SA barrel dated3-50 meaning it is a Springfield barrel manufactured in March 1950. The tag attached to the rifle has a muzzle reading of 0+ and a throat reading of 2. The tag also states barrel as 3-50. This semi-auto military rifle is used and rated RM1 Service grade. (See pictures) The Action is Gas-operated, rotating bolt. Rate of fire 40-50 rounds/min with a Muzzle velocity 2,800 ft./s (853 m/s). The Effective firing range is 500 yds. The Feed system is an 8-round en-bloc clip, internal magazine. Rear sight: adjustable aperture front sight: wing protected post. It is a US Military 30 caliber rifle. Civilian ammo is standard Springfield 30-06.
