The upper is piston driven with an adjustable gas system as well as a removable top rail to access the piston components. This model with the adjustable gas system is fairly hard to find in stock. LWRC is the only place that has these in stock and ready to ship for $2,060. I bought it new but it did not come with a BCG or charging handle so I got a stripped Superlative Arms one piece Ion Bonded bolt carrier. Everything else is LWRC as they came from a brand new LWRC DI BCG. So that means the firing pin, cam pin, and cotter pin are all LWRC. Also got the standard LWRC ambi-charging handle. The Sup Arms bolt carrier actually has more lubricity that the other LWRC BCGs I’ve owned and seems extremely more resistant to wear as well. After almost 500 rounds through it, the BCG shows ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS of wear. LWRC M6IC-A5 10.5” Upper $2,060 LWRC Hand stop and rail panel kit $20 Yes... the upper REALLY IS that expensive.
