Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days This Seller Accepts Instant Online Payments Description: This is a Kar 98 Mauser from 1937 made in the J.P. Sauer & Sohn Suhl factory of Germany. Sauer only produced roughly 7,00 Kar 98s making this a unique find. The serial numbers for Sauer mausers ranged from 478 to 7656. The serial numbers for this Mauser are all matching and are number 3182.The rifle itself has no import marks and the inspection marks feature the Weimar eagles as well as the Nazi eagle firing proof marks. In 1937 the Waffenamt inspection numbers changed to 214. The finish on the barrel and receiver is still nice and dark and the rifling inside the barrel is in very good condition. The stock is in good condition but does not have the original buttplate. The mauser has a rubber slide on recoil pad. The rifle has the original front sight but the rear sight was removed and replaced with a Lyman Peep sight. What you see in the pictures is what you are purchasing and receiving.
