This is a fantastic example of an all complete "turn-key" rifle lot, that includes one of the very rare and very scarce SA-1 semi-automatic rifles as manufactured by Springfield Armory Inc in Geneseo, SA-1 was designed to actually duplicate the weight, function and firing of the original M60 Machine Guns, only in a semi-automatic mode firing from a closed bolt position to enhance the accuracy as well as making them completely legal to own and rifle features a mix of both original "US" Government marked contractor parts (to increase their originality and appearance) combined with some new made commercial parts that have been assembled on a new made steel left side of the receiver is marked "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY, SA1" and "7.62 NATO". Currently this rifle is assembled in the Navy (SEAL) M60E3 configuration that has the light weight barrel, with the military tangent rear sight adjustable to 1100 meters, the barrel mounted short flashider, lightweight folding bipod, barrel mounted carrying pistol grip with cut down handguard, and fixed configuration also includes a modified feed tray that holds a 200 round box rifle comes equipped with a huge complement of various accessories, spare parts and ammunition as follows: All of the original SA-1 (M60) Army style components are included with this lot so that you can convert it back into the Army also includes the standard M60 barrel assembly, buttstock assembly, pistol grip and handguard/heat shield assembly with the original barrel included are an original (1960's) M122 tripod with pintle assembly, an original Traverse and Elevation (T&E) mechanism. 600 rounds of linked M80 ball ammunition in 200 round boxes in ammunition cans. 200 rounds of M62/M80 linked 4-1 tracer and ball ammunition also in 200 round ammunition boxes in ammunition cans, 800 rds of M82 linked blank ammunition, in 200 rd cardboard boxes in ammunition cans and also 200 rds of dummy nickel plated linked display included with this lot is a large box that contains several packages of spare ammonium links, a black padded M60 sling, a Vietnam era green webbed M60 sling, a USGI blank fire adapter, a second flash hider threaded for 1/2 x 20 threaded plugs for a blank fire adapter, and two M60, FM23-67 Field Manuals, a Vietnam era M60 Gunners Manual and a large DOSKOCILL hard case for the condition with 98% of the original parkerized finish overall showing light wear on the edges and high spots overall with some limited plastic buttstock and feed-tray cover are also excellent with minimal tripod, pintle, and T&E mechanism are all excellent and so are all the various ammunition as noted above is all contained in the original 200 rd cardboard boxes with carrying were produced in very small quantities (only 200) and are seldom encountered on the market today.
