The only flaw to the appearence are a few scratches to the right side of the topstrap I'm told that these came from drawing from a breakfront holster. Otherwise this revolver appears perfect. The blue on this L frame revolver is a deep polished blue. The grip panels have the S&W medalion and are amooth finger-groove style without scratches or scrapes to the finish. This revolver has a smooth D/A triggerpull with a crisp S/A let off. This is the finest double action shooting revolver I've seen in many years. This revolver is heavy enough that it takes much of the recoil of the powerfuk .357 magnum. As you probablly know the L frame was heavier than the older K frame with a full length ejector lug as well as a heavy topstrap. The adjustable sights have a black rear blade with a front blade that is ramped with a red insert. The trigger is smooth and rounded for fast double-action shooting. The hammer is a medium width target hammer. The finish on the trigger and hammer has the faint color case hardend of the mid-eighties. The muzzle crown is perfect and there is only a faint gas cutting on the bottom of the topstrap. All in all this is the best carbon steel L frame that I've seen in the past thirty years. This is a rare and beutiful revolver that is well worth the asking price.
