I bought it back in 2010, and it had dried naturally for 4 years by the time I bought it. The wood is dry. I will also warranty this blank for 1 year from the date you receive it with a back up blank of Exhibition Grade English walnut. If it is going to take longer than a year for you to get your gun made (or at least the blank turned into a gunstock), then let me know up front and I will extend the time some. No one else is going to offer this type of warranty on a wood blank, but I am very confident you will be amazed at the final product. High Exhibition Grade English Walnut blanks now go for $1500 at California Hardwood Company, which is where I got this one 6 yrs ago. The back up blank also comes from them.
