Served on the Eastern Front, as evinced by Russian capture stamps - 'X' on fwd receiver bridge side, and another on the underside of the stock pistol grip. Still retains all original German proofmarks. Laminated stock still sound, w no cracks or chips. Barrel, receiver, and stock numbers match. Bolt, triggerguard, and floorplate have the same numbers scribed in, per Russian custom. Bluing 99%+, as refinished by Soviet arsenal. Bore not shiny, but rifling strong. Century Arms Intl. import.
