The cartridge was designed to offer near-.357 Magnum ballistics in smaller framed firearms, allowing 6-shot cylinders in revolvers that only offer 5 rounds of the larger .38/.357 cartridges. Produced in very limited numbers, the Taurus 327 is sought after by individuals looking for an extra round of magnum-level performance in a very small package! This gun is in Taurus's Blued finish, with case-hardened trigger and hammer, factory combat grip, and incorporates Taurus's unique safety lock (see below).
Notes: "Taurus Security System (TSS): With our revolver Security System, the safety device is part of the firearm and cannot be lost, and the same special Security Key works for both the revolver and pistol Systems (two keys come with each gun). To engage, simply insert the Key into the button on the rear of the hammer and rotate one-quarter turn clockwise. This engages the Security System, and the trigger cannot be pulled. To disengage, simply rotate the key one-quarter turn back. This releases the Security System and prepares the gun to fire.
"Transfer Bar: The transfer bar mechanism prevents the hammer from striking the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled fully to the rear."
