Originally it came out of the Mauser factory but has been used by Francotte in Liege to make their double rifle barrels until they closed in 2000. More info on Ludwig Loewe can be found here: It has been stripped and cleaned after being stored since then and is complete. No pitting on the bearing surfaces and non of the cogwheels have any play. Every other part that could wear has adjustment slides. Plates to change number of grooves are with it. The main screw has been replaced by a new one and the engagement block has been recast. Unfortunately I don't have to space to do the same to the deephole drill. This one needs a motor and cleaning up but is otherwise complete.
