Colt 1860 Army in 44 Percussion, 8" barrel, 6 shot. Serial number dates it to 1862 production, during the early years of the American Civil War. All serial numbers match, only the barrel wedge has no visible serial number, but is likely original. All 3 hammer clicks are present. Action functions well, just one chamber the cylinder doesn't fully rotate into position and needs a small amount of manual turning to get that chamber into firing position. Lockup is fairly good with some common movement in lockup. Bore and cylinder walls have age related black powder pitting/wear. Cylinder nipples are older, one has a slight dent. Comes with a very desirable, hard to find Italian made reproduction shoulder stock that fits well. Frame has US marking and grips have military cartouche.
