Accepted Payment Methods: Returns: 3 Days Description: On consignment we have a Marlin model 1894 Saddle Ring carbine in .44-40. This rifle features a walnut stock and forend with steel carbine buttplate, a blued action with 20" barrel and full length magazine tube, serial number 359929. Stock is in good condition with no splits, cracks, or repairs, and shows average handling wear for its age. Metal retains fairly strong bluing, although it shows wear and patina on all surfaces. Front and rear sight are missing, but it comes with an adjustable tang sight, and a modern replacement rear sight. Bore is quite good with strong rifling and only minor pitting. We don't have exact serialization for this model, but it would appear to have been manufactured in the 1 range. Additional photos showing close-ups of barrel, front & rear sights.
