DESCRIPTION: Original USGI M1903-A3 receiver. This was a working rifle that the US Government later made into a "Drill Rifle" to be used by VFW & ROTC units. It had a bar welded in the barrel,and a spot of weld from the bottom of barrel to receiver. Note perfectly clean barrel threads. This is a functional receiver. It can easily be reactivated. There was a spot of weld on the magazine disconnect lever. This will take some minor hand work to finish. The complete rear sight is included. See photo. Serial #39513xx. Often, we don't know the history of these military rifles. I got this tag with this rifle declaring it "obsolete." I covered the inspectors name, and last 2 digets of rifle serial number.
