This 1950 army was Smith and Wesson's civilian version of the 1917 condition is 90% with a fine bore, the cylinder ring as well as the custon grip panels on this revoler shows that it was used by a an owner that felt that this was a revolver that was to be used but not frame was a 1917 surplus military frame as can be seen by the stanping beneath the cylinder civialian serial number,174### indicates this revolver was built in the to the grips and some pitting I'd guess that this 1950 was refinished some time ago,There is a lanyard ring on the revolver came from a Texas rancher's daughter, her parents seperated when she was nine but to the best of her memory her father's ranch was the 7BARNONE, in west to her this revolver was used in several shootings and after finding it along with the rest of her father's Items she wanted noting to do with sold it to me.
