Uprising Firearms Call or Text Hours By Appointment Only You are bidding on a Colt Military M1917 revolver chambered in .45acp. This revolver has been refinished at some point. The reblue was professionally done. The lettering and cartouches are not heavily filled in and are legible. Lock up is tight and the action is smooth. The pistol does not appear to have been fired much if at all since being refinished. The barrel is a smooth bore. According to Colt they never sold or issued any Military 1917 revolvers as smooth bores. This may have been an attempt to make a replica of the New Service revolvers that were sold as smooth bores in limited numbers by Colt. Those pistols bring anywhere from 4-6K. This would make an excellent pistol as a representative example in your collection. This would also make an excellent pistol for trick shooters or reenactors.
