At some point in the distribution process, this pistol came mismatched with its original box, but the box it is in, and the accessories it comes packaged with, are factory Beretta and appear correct. This specimen, then, is part of a limited issue of correctly marked M9 pistols for the civilian market around 2005. The Pistol itself has an M9-104000 range serial number, with right side of slide marked, ASSY 93460 and right forward side of frame marked, U.S. 9mm M9-Beretta U.S.A.-65490. The box is probably for one of the 1995 limited edition pistols that marked the Tenth Anniversary of the Military Issue M9, but so far as we can tell from Mr. Fjiestad, it is all correct. Most likely, we think, a 2005 twentieth anniversary pistol in a 1995 tenth anniversary box. Magazines are both new and unissued Italian Beretta. The pistol itself has been fired, but its only surface detractions are faint amounts of whitening around the trigger bar, and over the chamber area of the barrel’s left side from slide contact. From our knowledge of its collector owner, and from its condition, we estimate this M9 has been fired fewer than 50 times, if at all.
