This auction is for a vintage Colt Model 1911 A1 U.S. Army replacement slide and components. The slide is parkerized. Included is the BARREL w/link pin, Spring, Recoil Spring Guide, 2 each Bushings, and a blued pre-war Slide Stop (checkered as they were from 1924-1943). Also a trigger with "X" pattern cuts. The slide is complete with Firing Pin, Extractor, etc…
These slides changed over from the marking of "Model of 1911 U.S. Army" to "M 1911 A1 U.S. Army". They were produced around 1938 thru until 1943. These slides were never serial numbered. This slide is marked with the "P" on the top in front of the rear sight. Also the "U" and "N" stamps are on the left side behind the firing pin housing.
The barrel has a coat of cosmoline and the slide and other parts could stand a cleaning. Parkerizing is in great shape with a few spots here and there and a couple minor scrapes (see pics).
This is a nice, rare slide for the collector.
