Its a 4 digit serial number preceded with a letter G 45XX.. we date this between 47-1950. Very clean bore metal and wood. Comes with factory supplied Marbles buckhorn rear sight manufactured in Gladstone Michigan. The barrel band appears to have a replacement screw holding that in place, functions fine no problems.This is of course a JM stamped barrel at this age which have become somewhat more collectible than current model Marlins from Remington Co.
