It was built from a kit and I have test fired it, it's safe to shoot. The trigger guard is made from cast brass and is broken, and the hammer doesn't line up perfectly with the nipple. The ramrod won't stay attached but all that is needed is a small screw to hold it in place. However it is a pretty accurate pistol and you can hit what you are aiming at. The barrel is rifled with slow twist rifling, you could probably load shot in it and use it for a snake gun. No FFL is needed for this item, and I can ship it to any state except for US territories.
