Nice Antique Stevens Model gun has been stored away for years in the idea when it was shot actions do work though,
Marked left side of barrel "STEVENS ARMS COMPANY, Chicopee Falls Mass. .22-.410". Left side of barrel "22 LONG RIFLE, PROOF TESTED .410 BORE -- 3 INCH CHAMBER--", marked "PATENT PENDING on right side of housing, and has a little heart stamped in it just above the selector the inside, left hand side, where the barrel rests is either JC1 or UC1.
Bluing is all but gone on the housing and about 80% left on the barrels, maybe, there are signs of fading, roughness, and minor pitting here and there on the rear sight has a repair showing that was done sometime ago, the front of the sight has a weld mark, it is straight and functional.
The woods finish shows signs of thinning here and there, with minor signs of breaks, chips, nicks, or cracks in the wood.
The trigger, hammer, and release all seem to work does the break action.
Barrel is 24" long, full length is 40 1/8".
