Rifle is still for sale, dead beat bidder did not pay.
Rifle was ordered in July of 2007, and ready for pick up in late November. The rifle's base started from the K-8 Mag chambered in .243 WSSM which includes all of the associated features that come standard.
Options ordered from the factory include the following. 24" Stainless Ultra Match barrell with a 1 X 8 twist. Williams set trigger which brings the pull wieght in under 2lbs when desired. Extended cocking lever to effectively clear the scope. Ergo palm shelf pistol grip. Bipod stud mounted to the bottom of the free floating hand guard.
Other add ons or modifications done by myself included the addtion of a Magpul Sniper stock with the adjustable cheek hieght and length of pull shoulder extension. There is also a covered rail on the bottom of the stock for the installation of a screw type hieght adjustment. A 6" to 9" Harris swiveling bipod has been installed, it is a solid platform. Included with the rifle is a tactical sling for carry, and also serves as a means of stabilization during critical sitting or prone shots.
Optics: Scope rings are Badger Ordinance Ultra High Max-50 steel rings with 6 torx screws per ring. The hieght of the rings allows expandability in scope selection if a scope well in excess of 50mm objective is desired. The scope mounted is a Burris Black Diamond 8-32x50mm with 3" sunshade.
Case: 1750 Pelican case included
This rifle was purpose built to send a larger heavier .243/6mm bullet downrange with extreme accuracy and energy retention. Whether punching paper or flesh, this will hit the target. I wanted something that was versitale from paper to the smallest varmint up into sizeble game animals. I have not had the pleasure of truely shooting at the rifles potential range, but it was designed to approach and possibly break the 1000 yard mark with repeatability. It is heavy for an AR maybe 11-12 pounds loaded and is long. As pictured it measures 43 1/8" long. One 7 round single stack magazine is included as well as a .243 Dewey rod.
Yes I realize that what I am asking is a lot of money for an AR-15. Everything on the rifle was picked for a reason, it is of the highest quality, and on there to achieve repeatable bullet placement at distance. The rifle and the parts were not cheap and cost more than I am asking. I personally, have put only 40 rounds of 95 grain Winchester Supremes down the tube and am the original owner of the rifle. It is barely broken in and was cleaned thouroughly every 5 shots during this time. I recently finished my military service and now work in an area which is not conducive to distance shooting or rifle hunting, as this is the only reason I want to sell such a great rifle. I don't see a reason for having it sit in a safe and age when someone else can be enjoying it. It was meant to shoot, and it does it well. I can be contacted at emrickn @ .
