The barrel is held tightly with an interrupted thread system. The bottom load/bottom eject system is very slick. This particular model 37 is the "T" edition for Trap shooting. It features a 28" barrel chambered in 16 Gauge and is integrally choked at Modified. The bore is very shiny with no noticeable corrosion/pitting but it does show a bit of fouling. The action in mechanically sound and smooooooth! The wood has some cosmetic flaws from honest use but shows no signs of cracking. In the Trap tradition the barrel has a vent rib and double bead sighting arrangement. For an Ithaca collector or for someone just looking for a nice vintage Trap gun this shotgun is a great choice!
