It presents like new in its original factory walnut presentation case with all tools and lots of Smith & Wesson papers. This is the famous "Dirty Harry Callahan Special", identical to the one that Inspector Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) carried in the Dirty Harry movies that to this day remain popular. This revolver is in excellent condition having been owned by the same family since new. It is essentially unblemished for a 44-year-old revolver except for a faint drag line on the cylinder from periodic cocking/dry firing over the years. Of all my Smiths', this revolver has the most beautiful bluing I have ever seen on any Smith revolver. It's like a black Mirror finish. Then the original grips display a beautiful grain, with a glossy factory finish. This has, of course, as a 29-2 the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder chambers. These are rarely for sale in this barrel length in the blued finish. To be in this condition with the original presentation case and the blue velvet intact and papers, it is VERY RARE.
