Following in the footsteps of its Smith & Wesson predecessors, Taurus has introduced a 9mm revolver, this one, the 905, that carries the same round as the 9mm autos in a 5 shot Chief's Special Size package. The 905 comes with a total of five moon clips, a very nice and very old invention that amounts to having four speedloaders, and the moon clips certainly simplify the retrieval of fired brass. Finish on this revolver is entirely blue steel, with authentic color casehardened trigger and hammer. This is the traditional Chief's Special size Taurus small frame center fire, with 2 inch full lug barrel. It is double and single action; has an internal transfer bar safety as well as the Taurus patented hammer-internal lock security system with two keys; factory Taurus pebble grain Boot Grip; 5 round cylinder capacity; and weight empty is a well balanced, pleasant-shooting 23 ounces. Sights are fixed notch rear and stepped ramp front. This specimen comes in a factory box marked, Factory Reconditioned. It carries, writes the label, the Exclusive Taurus Functional Repair Policy, but not on its finish. We know of no one who warrants finish anyway. We do not detect any finish weakness whatsoever, apart from faint cylinder rotation marking; and this Taurus is in its factory box just like it recently left the Miami warehouse, with its manual and keys for its internal lock. We rate it as Mint or Near Mint and unfired, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. We have not cleaned it; any residue in the bore or cylinder chambers, comes from test firing in Miami at the Taurus International Facility. Go interchangeable and own the fine little Taurus 9mm Revolver in the photos for only $ 349.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, District of Colombia, or Massachusetts.
