Description:
This reproduction of a Sharps 1877 Sporting Rifle based on the version was built by Axtell Rifle Company around 1995.
The upgrades to the standard rifle included checkering, pistol steel butt, upgrade to nicely finished fancy English walnut stocks, rust blued barrel, and Riflesmith sights.
Metal finishes include color case hardening, charcoal blue and rust blue.
The top of the barrel is marked, MODEL 1877 - AXTELL RIFLE MONT. This is in 99% condition with very light handling marks.
Shiloh bought Axtell in 2010.
