Description: SOLD...Thank you Jeff! This is an original heavy varmint barrel Remington 700 BDL Deluxe in 243 Win that was manufactured in 1980. I bought this rifle used 25 years ago back in 1984 from a small gun shop in Houston. It looked like new like the previous owner either never fired it, or maybe fired a handfull of rounds through it. Though I don’t hunt and really didn’t need a 243 cal rifle, I couldn’t resist the beautiful wood. In 24 years, I took it to the range for a total of maybe 4 times, and must have fired no more then 125-150 rounds total. The bore in this barrel looks sharp and clean, and the action and blueing are like new with no rust. The stock has no dents or scratches, but has only a couple of the smallest pin head sized marks which you really just about have to look closely to see. The largest of the two tiny marks is a little bigger then the size of a pin head, and doesn't show up in the photos. The barrel lines up in the forearm centered just perfectly, and there are no ugly gaps or uneven mating of the white line spacers anywhere. Everything is original and NICE. All the photos are supposed to show you the beauty of the rife. I did not take any pictures to show some kind of a bad spot or blemish that I’m hoping to show but might sneak past you. The rifle does have a nice slight hint of a red in its brown color, but the overall color of the rifle is more of a brown tone. There are no uneven streaks or blotches in this stock's finish, and the stain was applied very evenly at the factory. There are some nice wood burl areas in the stock that are evident in the photos and do make for a very attractive grain. The rifle was not made with rifle sights. The two factory screws seen on the barrel in one photo are for a scope mount block. It is very hard to find an older rifle like this with such an attractive wood stock in this condition. I am much older now then when I bought this rifle 24 years ago, and I no longer care to own pretty "safe-queens" that I don’t intend to shoot. The rifle comes with a Redding base and rings. There is no original box. This rifle will be shipped in an included plastic rifle case to protect it during shipping. This rifle will be shipped US mail and insured for the full value. You will pay only actual shipping costs. Send $40 to cover shipping, and I will send you the post office receipt with whatever excess is due you. I am very careful how I pack and ship. I'll give you a 24 hour period from the time your transfer agent received the rifle, for you to look it over and make sure you want it. I will refund your money minus the shipping AND my $30 transfer costs for me to get it back. The rifle must be returned in the same exact condition I sent it. I state the return policy for your peace of mind, but I can't imagine you being unhappy and wanting to return the rifle. It's exactly as I describe it, and there will be no surprises. You must submit a copy of your FFL dealer's license to me before I ship the rifle to him. Be sure your dealer is OK with this, as some FFL dealers are really paranoid to give out their info to a non-dealer. My Ebay and Gunbroker name is also "flitepac". I have over 5 years of 100% positive feedback at Ebay, and have sold 2 other "safe queen" rifles at GunBroker. NO TRADES. The price is firm. I have already turned down two seperate offers for $850, and yet another guy who asked I remove the Redfield rings & lower the price. Sorry....that is the price. This money wouldn’t even buy me an ugly AR15! I’m trying to be as open and forthright about this rifle as I can, and tell you EVERYTHING you need to know up front. So, if you have any other questions, feel free to give me a holler, and I'll try to answer them as honestly and accurately as I can. Thanks! -Randall. UPDATED BY ME 2/08/09; PRICE IS FIRM.

If you are wondering who I am that you may be doing business with, hopefully my history can help to answer that question for you; I've been on Ebay with the same user name "flitepac" with 100% positive feedback over 10 years and over 130 transactions for which I've bought and sold items. I've also got 100% feedback under the same user name "flitepac" for over 7 years at another Gun Auction websight where I've sold some very expensive rifles....and received some very nice feedback from those pleased buyers.

I hope to be able to do business with you too. Thanks!
