We start with an original Dragunov style laminated wood stock set that is custom shaped for both style and function. The original Dragunov butt stock has been redesigned making it lighter with a unique classic look. The forearm set has also been redesigned with a precision palm swell that is both ergonomic and classic. The laminated wood features a custom stain that is hand applied to bring out the beautiful color highlights of the wood. After the wood is stained, multiple coats of a hard durable stock finish are expertly applied to finish setting the color highlights and provide maximum protection for the wood. The metal is bead blasted and carefully prepped for hot bluing. Our hot bluing process uses a custom formulation of bluing salts that produces a deep satin black finish that literally puts it in a class of its own. But the hand crafted wood and satin black metal finish are only part of the story. The brand new American made DC Industries (NoDak Spud) receiver is made from Ordnance Grade 4130 steel. It is fully heat treated to 40 on the Rockwell "C" Scale for maximum strength and durability. The receiver is a TRUE double stack hi-capacity receiver with the correct "dimples" that securely hold magazines and drums for proper feed and function. Key receiver rivets are heat-set for added strength. This custom AK47 rifle features an ORIGINAL AK47 military chrome lined barrel, with original threading and bayonet lug. We have added a distinctive RPK style threaded slant muzzle break to further compliment the unique design and look of this custom built rifle. A TAPCO G2 custom trigger group is installed to provide the shooter with a super smooth 3 to 4 lb. trigger pull. A combat style recoil pad is added to the butt stock, and provides both additional length and actual recoil reduction! This custom built package includes an original steel 30rd magazine, and an original steel 40rd magazine. The wood finishes vary based on grain, color and laminations- they are beautiful and truly unique!
