Estimated period of manufacture is post WW2. The last occupant of this case was a small bore double rifle. Not counting the corner pieces the outside case dimensions are: 28 5/8” X 10 5/8” X 3 1/4”. The length of the barrel compartment is 26 7/8”. The stock compartment is 21”. The case is lined with green felt and fitted with a working brass lock; key included. For the most part the case is in excellent condition but it does have a series of fine scratches on the cover to the left of center. The green felt interior is in very nice condition overall but there is a fair amount of wear on the bottom of the wide end of the barrel compartment from the barrel lugs. The light colored dividers establishing the secondary compartments are movable.
