Parker, 1926, sn215753, 12ga, 7lbs. 2oz., Chokes IC/M
Bird season is fast approaching, the pheasants are cackling, and waterfowl are gathering their broods for a flight south. Time for a new Parker for your upcoming season, but how to choose? To be sure, more than price should influence your decision. You want a gun that will serve your needs, function properly without letting you down, and a gun that looks good and makes you proud. Before you spend hard-earned cash, you should know the details and specifications to make sure the gun will fit your needs and be a good investment that will grow in value as you enjoy its use. Most Parkers you see advertised have poor photos and very little information to make a sound decision with. VFI provides the photography, specifications, and details you need, as well as a 30-day mechanical warranty on all our vintage guns. This fine Parker, sn215753 made in 1926, is a very rare find in that it is ENTIRELY FACTORY ORIGINAL FINISHES and retains 99% factory blue, 70% factory vivid case color, perfect screws, perfect wood-to-metal fit, barrels tight on breech face and hinge pin, no cracks or repairs to the wood…just a perfect example of a fine Parker PH in high factory original condition. This 12ga. gun is built on the smaller 1 ½ frame and weighs just 7lbs 2oz. and balances perfectly between the hands. Most Parker PH Grade guns had twist steel barrels (11,107 produced) but only a few were built with PARKER STEEL barrels (839 total made, only 285 with 28” barrels). The 28” Parker Steel barrels have mirror shiny bores, crisp sharp lettering and rib matting, tight ribs, barrels tight on hinge pin and breech face like a new gun, and the nice touch of double ivory beads. Examine the details in the photos closely and you will notice the nicely fiddleback figured wood, the perfect wood to metal fit, superb factory checkering, most all the factory wood finish, original dogs head buttplate, all setting it apart from the others. The action has bold, vivid Parker factory case color that is rarely found on guns that are almost 100 years old. The PH Grade Parker was the first grade with a moderate amount of scroll engraving, a bit finer wood than their VH Grade, yet remained affordable. This is a very nice conditioned, very low production numbers gun, with ORIGINAL FACTORY FINISHES IN ALL WAYS, a gun that is very had to find in today’s world. At 7lbs. 2oz. and choked IC/M, a finer Parker bird or clays gun you will not find at this price. Total production of only 285 guns makes this Parker PH quite rare…definitely a collector grade Parker. See specifications below. Thanks for looking, and you should take this Parker for a hunt!
