This is an excellent mint Walther P4 in 9mm. The P4 is a unique P38/P1 variation and somewhat rare with only 7000 being built. It was a transition piece leading to the P5. It has all the P1 features such as the frame reinforcing hex nut and the stronger fat slide. Instead of a safety it features a decocker with a unique rising and falling firing pin system that was later incorporated into the P5 and P88 series. Also the trigger is grooved for better control and feel. What I like about the P4 is that is still retains the overall look of the P38 even though the barrel is shorter as is the hammer spur. This pistol is in excellent condition and the bore is pristine. These scarce pistols will only go up in value, and are a must for every P.38 collector in box serialized to gun and holster.
