Caliber is 7.7 Japanese like they all are. Has the usual military handling marks in the stock but none are obnoxious. No cracks. Somebody put a heavy varnish on it which I’m not wild about but it preserved the wood pretty well. The bluing is pretty decent. The metal shows a periodic teeny light surface fleck, but is mostly pretty good shape. Mum was ground off. Anti-aircraft wings are missing on the rear sight but it’s the one that has the neat circle instead of the v-notch. Bolt is mismatched but there are other numbers that match. Bolt is confidently tight and everything functions fine. I can provide several high-res photos and a video clip of the firearm in operation to any SERIOUS buyer. The reason I picked this one to add to my collection is that the bore shines like new. The rifle grooving isn’t crisp, but still plenty there.  I’m gradually selling off my collection these days.
