This is a rare Colt 1911 produced by the custom shop in 1998, 350 of these were made. It is a 2-tone compensated, Commander length, 1911 with oversize beavertail and safety, Novak style rear sight and the best trigger of any 1911 I have fired in over 40 years. The slide feels like it is on bearings when you lock it to the rear. It has original grips and box. I have a Wilson Combat Mag to go with it. I have had this for years and though it does go to the range now and then, mostly it sits in a safe. This is VERY accurate for a 45 and Colt limited production to one year. I have uglier cheaper pistols for everyday carry so this one might as well find a new home. I saw a recent sale of another used one that sold for $2400+.
