Zero Tolerance Knives has partnered with Rick Hinderer for one of their new knives, the ZT 0393GLCF, and yes, the carbon fiber scales glow in the dark.
Intended as an everyday working knife, this update to the standard 0393 has a hard finish and a solid, hold-able design. It fits the hand well and the “spanto” blade is shaped to work in all kinds of circumstances.
Glow-in-the-dark fibers are interwoven with the carbon fiber and it glows green–I guess you’ll be able to see your knife easier when you come into a dark house on a sunny day, and maybe pick it out on the nightstand a little easier, too. The glow in the dark is just a fun quirk on a very functional knife. You can also change out the hardware with Hinderer custom pieces.
Specs:
- CPM 20CV steel
- 3.5 inch blade
- 4.75 inch closed length
- 8.25 inch open length
- .156 inch blade thickness
- KVT ballbearing flipper
- Compatible with Hinderer hardware
- MSRP: $350
I handled it for a few minutes and it really does feel great in the hand, it operates smoothly and is easily concealed in the pocket (the titanium pocket clip is reversible). ZT had a lot to offer at SHOT Show, so click here to check out all their latest knives.
We’re still awaiting information on availability. But the MSRP is $350.
I really love this “stuff”, but if there was also articles on the the how do I say “Average People” price lines and recommendations for these newer products, that would be great too! Thank you for the awesome overview write up Levi! Emmett McCarthy MA
