Right?\u00a0 LOL.\u00a0 (<em>Photo: KOAA 5<\/em>)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A retired law enforcement officer is credited with using two AR-15s to stop an armed carjacker in Douglas County, Colorado last Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities say 51-year-old Wesley Mattox shot 28-year-old Austin Benson with his rifles after Benson pointed a gun at the former Alabama cop, telling him to get him water and that \u201cthe law was after him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The encounter occurred at a campsite where Mattox was staying with his wife,\u00a0reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.koaa.com\/story\/38606250\/court-documents-retired-police-officer-shot-armed-suspect-with-two-ar-15s\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"retired-leo-uses-two-ar-15s-to-stop-armed-carjacker\" title=\"Retired LEO Uses Two AR-15s to Stop Armed Carjacker\">KOAA 5<\/a>.\u00a0 Benson had pulled up after stealing a car in El Paso County, driving it around Rampart Range Road, and shooting out the window at passing cars. Thankfully, no motorists or bystanders were injured.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of bringing Benson water, Mattox returned with an AR-15. Taking cover behind the stolen Mazda sedan, Mattox instructed the suspect to drop the gun. After firing a few more rounds at the assailant, Mattox retrieved another AR from his truck believing he was out of ammo. He shot one more round at Benson and then watched for movement. There was none.<\/p>\n<p>When police arrived they found that Benson was shot multiple times with wounds to the arms and face.
