The lamestream media told you:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Many times over: No one needs an AR-15. All we want to do is ban the AR-15. It\u2019s a weapon of war. It\u2019s a killing machine. It has no place on our streets. The Founders never could have imagined any such thing in the hands of the public. It\u2019s too dangerous for the public to own. The magazine is too large. The bullets can be fired too quickly. It\u2019s scary looking. You don\u2019t need it to hunt ducks. It doesn\u2019t matter if police have them.<\/p>\n

The Uninvited Ombudsman notes however that:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Having listed those familiar complaints, I\u2019ll answer them just as fast: Property ownership in this country isn\u2019t based on need (and you don\u2019t get to decide someone else\u2019s need, that\u2019s the communist model). All we want is to have the finest rifle made. It\u2019s a weapon of peace. It\u2019s a self-defense firearm. It\u2019s perfect for the public. The Founders never could have imagined throwing your voice further than you can speak either. It\u2019s too dangerous for the government to be sole owners. Insufficient ammo supply can be lethal. Slow-firing guns are dangerous. Scary is in the eye of the beholder, you might need treatment. Preferences for hunting are personal, immaterial here, not your concern and disconnected from the right to keep and bear arms. Police have them for the exact same reasons we want them. OK, so much for that.<\/p>\n

Banning the AR-15, America\u2019s Rifle, as media-promoted child \u201csurvivors\u201d are trying to force upon this great nation, is not only a bad idea, it\u2019s illegal — infringement — and as a practical matter, it\u2019s hard.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t ban guns by name, people will just change the name, that doesn\u2019t work. You can describe guns, but people just modify the designs so they don\u2019t fit the description. That\u2019s been tried, it was a failure.<\/p>\n

There\u2019re too many manufacturers, that cat\u2019s out of the bag, along with the engineering plans, so you can\u2019t close down the plants. If you do somehow outlaw manufacture what do you do about the millions of guns people own?<\/p>\n

Confiscation is the answer, among the most heinous government crimes there are, illegal a dozen different ways, and incendiary to the public. The rule of law has to be abandoned for that one. When government doesn’t or can’t enforce the law, the militia gets called up.<\/p>\n

Buying the guns back, an idea sometimes mentioned, runs up against the treasury which hasn\u2019t got the funds, and no votes in favor. Buying from unwilling sellers is confiscation again, disguised with ribbon and bow.<\/p>\n

All of the drastic ideas like this tempt armed rebellion, literally, from the very people whose guns you want to take, so you must tread lightly there. Will police and soldiers shoot at Americans defending their firearms? Do you really want to push things that far? That\u2019s not much of a plan.<\/p>\n

Note, all the bans so far haven\u2019t disarmed inner cities, where murderers murder 6,000 victims a year, with virtually no murder trials. Guns get smuggled into this country like drugs, women and \u201cundocumented migrant workers and repeat offenders,\u201d so that side of an AR-15 ban is not exactly airtight.<\/p>\n

So what did they (that\u2019s the Democrat party, the one with no demonstrated respect for the right to keep and bear arms) do to ban the AR-15, when they drafted their bill? The bill the marching children, referred to as ignorant useful idiots by some leading experts, what did that bill propose?<\/p>\n

They banned every rifle, pistol and shotgun<\/a> that takes a magazine of any size, and has a grip.<\/p>\n

Most but not all pistols will escape the law under the \u201ctwo-grip\u201d rule. In the past though, BATFE, the agency responsible for enforcing these things, has been known to fabricate their own parts to \u201cprove\u201d a firearm was subject to enforcement.<\/p>\n

The AR-15 Ban, edited for pertinent part:<\/h2>\n

(36) The term \u2018semiautomatic assault weapon\u2019 means any of the following:
\n(A) A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any 1 of the following:
\n(i) A pistol grip.
\n(D) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any 1 of the following:
\n(ii) A second pistol grip.
\n(F) A semiautomatic shotgun that has any 1 of the following:
\n(ii) A pistol grip.
\n(39) The term \u2018detachable magazine\u2019 means an ammunition feeding device that can be removed from a firearm without disassembly of the firearm action.*
\n(46) The term \u2018pistol grip\u2019 means a grip, a thumb-hole stock, or any other characteristic that can function as a grip.

It\u2019s safe to say every mass media report on the move to ban the AR-15, or assault weapons, has been fake, phony or wrong, based on the bill.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
