Nathan Deal celebrated the move.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGeorgia\u2019s strong manufacturing sector and business-friendly climate continue to attract industry-leading manufacturers like Taurus USA to our state,\u201d said Deal in a<a href=\"https:\/\/gov.georgia.gov\/press-releases\/2018-04-12\/deal-taurus-usa-create-300-jobs-bainbridge\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"taurus-300-jobs-georgia\" title=\"Taurus Bringing 300 Jobs to Georgia Along w\/ New Manufacturing Plant\"> press release.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this investment, Taurus USA is highlighting some of the economic development assets available in the Bainbridge area, while also creating meaningful employment opportunities for the community,&#8221; added the governor. &#8220;We welcome Taurus USA to Georgia, and we look forward to seeing how our highly skilled workforce will help the company grow and maintain its competitive edge.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>SEE ALSO:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/nathan-deal-campus-carry-bill-georgia\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"taurus-300-jobs-georgia\" title=\"Taurus Bringing 300 Jobs to Georgia Along w\/ New Manufacturing Plant\" rel=\"bookmark\">Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal Signs Campus Carry Bill Into Law<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The cost of the new 200,000-square-foot plant is estimated to be $22.5 million.\u00a0 Approximately 180,000 square feet will be dedicated to manufacturing and around 20,000 square feet will be allocated for administrative purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Taurus will look to hire skilled laborers, admin support personnel, customer service reps and management teams in the coming weeks and months.\u00a0 Construction is scheduled to start this fall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe decision to move to Bainbridge, Georgia, is part of a long-term growth strategy,\u201d said David Blenker, president and CEO of Taurus USA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ability to expand operations is critical for our U.S. business,&#8221; he continued.\u00a0 &#8220;This new facility will meet our demanding needs to increase production with the skilled workforce Georgia has to offer.
