Optics industry leader Bushnell has many new additions to their red dot options this 2018, including a successor to the widely-successful and very affordable TRS-25: the TRS 26. This red dot is at the center of Bushnell’s new Tac Optics line for black rifles and tactical shotguns.\"Bushnell's<\/p>\n

The TRS-26, like its predecessor, is a low-cost red dot sight suitable for rifles and shotguns with updated controls and improved battery life. It’s a tube-style mini red dot and along with the First Strike 2.0 the first of two updated red dots. The First Strike 2.0 is a mini red dot sight for long guns and pistols.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Bushnell is showing off three new red dots scopes, the Mini Cannon, the Lil P(prism) and the Big D(ot).<\/p>\n

The Mini Cannon gives users four reticle options at the push of a button and delivers industry-leading battery life with more than 30,000 hours with one cell. The Lil P(rism) is one of the industry’s smallest prism sights with a BDC reticle designed for carbines.<\/p>\n

The Big D(ot) is anything but small with a 37mm objective lens and an unrivaled field of view compared to other red dot scopes.<\/p>\n

While they’re all interesting red dot sights, the TRS-26, and it’s incredible price point, stole focus.<\/p>\n

Overview<\/h2>\n

The TRS-26 has a 3-MOA red dot and a 50,000-hour battery life. That is well over 5 years of on time. This fixed one-power wonder also includes a high-rise mount so no need to source one separately.<\/p>\n

The updated TRS-26 doesn’t have a dial like the older version, instead, it uses a push-button interface sealed to the elements.<\/p>\n\"Bushnell's\n

Impressions<\/h2>\n

The controls are simple and intensity is controlled by pushing a button up or down. It runs off a commonly aavailable CR2032 button cell. You might be used to these if you have a red dot sight already.<\/p>\n

The TRS-25 red dot established a reputation for toughness and durability and we fully expect the new TRS-26 to perform the same — and at an unbelievable price point.<\/p>\n
